2025 Impact Report

As we look back on the events of 2025, we are deeply thankful for the people and partners who made it possible: 309 new patients were welcomed by 12 staff and 83 volunteers, and they joined a community of patients who have been with Samaritan Health Center for as many as 13 years!

This clinic is part of a safety net across Durham and North Carolina working to ensure that each member of our community can access high quality health care, regardless of the ability to contribute. This type of care is fostered by committed individuals, churches, and foundations, along with state funds, requiring us to report on not just the quantity, but the quality of care provided. While maintaining the ongoing quality of care, last year we partnered with Project HOPE to make mammograms more accessible for our patients, added gynecology as a new onsite service, and increased our participation in community events and legislative conversations. To ensure both sustainability and growth, we are updating our strategic plan this spring, emphasizing partnership, investment, and impact. 

Another non-profit recently wrote: “Communications, at its best, is not spin. It is witness. It tells the truth clearly and invites others to see more fully.” In 2025, we learned afresh the importance of this work and saw the world more fully through our patients’ eyes.
